RE’GENERATION MOVEMENT 'I AM BECAUSE WE ARE' Refugee Support Campaign

키뮤스튜디오는 2019년, 미국 애틀랜타에서 난민 청소년 교육을 후원하는 리제너레이션 무브먼트와 컬래버레이션 아트워크 <I AM BECAUSE WE ARE>을 제작했습니다. <I AM BECAUSE WE ARE> 은 난민 청소년들의 꿈과 우정, 학창시절이라는 주제 아래, 다양한 정체성을 가진 사람들의 모습을 재해석한 작품입니다. ‘난민들의 보금자리’로 알려진 애틀랜타 클락스턴에서 전시되어 많은 분께 감동을 선사하기도 했습니다. 청소년들이 사용하는 노트, 필기구, 미니백 등으로 구성된 기프트 박스, ‘키뮤 박스’도 만들어 전시 현장에서 판매하였고, 수익금을 난민 청소년들을 위해 기부했습니다. 이에 더해 키뮤는 난민 청소년들에게 ‘키뮤 박스’ 100개를 기부했습니다.
In 2019, Kimustudio produced a collaboration artwork with Re’Generation Movement―NGO sponsoring refugee youth education in Atlanta, USA―called <I AM BECAUSE WE ARE>. The reinterpretation of people with various identities under the theme of dreams, friendship, and school life of refugee
youth impressed the audience at an exhibition in Clarkston, Atlanta, also known as the home for many refugees. KIMU BOXES―a gift box consisting of notebooks, writing materials, and school materials―were sold at the exhibition, which was donated to refugee youth as a ‘Buy One, Give One’. Kimu also donated an extra 100 boxes.
